About Us

Connie

Consuella "Connie" Moore Roberts doesn't just compete — she transforms. Born in Chicago and forged in the fire of elite track and field, Connie spent years racing at the highest levels of American sprinting before discovering a new arena where her power, precision, and passion could reach even further: the platform and the coaching floor.

Today she competes as a record-holding IPF powerlifter, coaches adaptive sport athletes with rare insight and fire, and leads the Pretty Strong Movement — a community she founded to make sure no woman or girl has to figure out her power alone.

Pretty Strong Movement

The Pretty Strong Movement is Connie's declaration that strength is for everyone. Built on fitness, mentorship, and radical community, it's a space where women and girls learn to own their power, build confidence that doesn't quit, and show up as exactly who they are — unapologetically. Pretty Strong breaks the barriers that told them they couldn't, and replaces them with women who prove they can.

The Coach

As an adaptive sports coach, Connie brings the full weight of her competitive experience — and her degree in psychology from Penn State — to every athlete she works with. She doesn't just train bodies; she builds people. Her coaching style meets athletes where they are, challenges them further than they thought possible, and leaves them knowing they're capable of more.

For Connie, adaptive sport isn't a niche — it's the purest expression of her belief that competition belongs to everyone.

The Athlete

Connie's competitive career spans two chapters, both elite. She was a Big Ten double-champion and NCAA All-American at Penn State, and earned a Pan American Games gold medal in the 4×100m relay alongside Allyson Felix. After stepping back from sprinting and rediscovering her competitive fire, she channeled everything into the barbell — and hasn't looked back since.

Competing under the IPF, the sport's most respected federation, Connie holds records that reflect not just her physical power but her discipline, her process, and her commitment to doing it the right way.
